Look for one of these somewhere:

Quote:
The following characters are invalid as file or folder names on Windows using NTFS:
/ ? < > \ : * | ” and any character you can type with the Ctrl key
Illegal Characters on Various Operating Systems | Group Logic

The most common error is getting your / and \ mixed up.

I'm assuming it's actually "c:\users\myname\" . Is that right?

Can you get a screenshot or two of the installation error, preferably showing the folder location it's offering as the default? There are fixes for some similar problems but they all seem to involve messing around in the registry. I'd like to be sure it's not something simpler before recommending you try that.

Try downloading the file again. The second screen looks like it can't unpack itself, possibly due to a corrupt download.

You might also try right-clicking the file and installing it as an Administrator if you haven't already done that.
