What are the most common repair install issues/errors

Going to try my first attempt at a repair install based on the tutorial. Have a Win 7 Pro 32bit system. Have read thru Brinks tutorial pretty thoroughly but I'm wondering:

1) Assuming a successful system repair...how long should the whole operation take ?

2) Other than the SP1 issue - which I will uninstall first - what are the pitfalls to watch for during the procedure ?

3) What are the most common operator errors...if any...usually occurring during a repair install of Win 7 ?

Have created a backup image of the current setup just in case

Thanks...TRinAZ

Instead of uninstalling SP1 I would instead use the latest official Win7 ISO w/SP1 downloaded from here then burned to DVD or written to flash stick using Windows 7 USB-DVD Download Tool:

Official ISO Downloads

Resolve any issues given during compatibility check first, posting back any questions. Remain connected to internet. Repair can last from 30 to 90 minutes average depending upon how much is installed.

If you have a factory bloatware install it would be much preferable to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

Thanks...this was a nice and clean home build PC at first...bloatware...lots !! Unfortunately this is my GF's PC and of course she claims she needs all the junk she had installed...so the repair-install looks to be the only option.

Multiple errors after a new repair install
I did the repair install, that went fine. I had hope that once I got all of the updates downloaded I'd be all set and I could create an new system image. I looked at the event viewer and to my horror it's full of errors again. I ran the sfc, it reported no problems. Here are the CBS logs. ...

BSOD. 8 different errors. More common playing GW2.
This has been happening for several months, and I've been slowly trying to work on it. It first started when I installed an SSD as my main drive. The crashes would happen several times a day and sometimes back to back. Sadly I don't have the dumps from those. I took the SSD back out, and went...

System Restore Always Gives Errors - Is it Time for a Repair Install?
Hi all I brought the machine about a year ago, put 7 on it, and never had to do a System Restore until about a month ago. After a month of twiddling around, it keeps happening every time I try one. I apologise that I have not got a copy of exactly what the message is. It (no...
