can't install windows xp fundemetal for legacy system
I get "setup cannot copy the operating system to the selected partition"
No idea why it's doing this to me, inspiron 8100, any help?
EDIT: fixed, nothing was working, failing cd drive, I just used plpbt to boot off a usb and install

to write to stick with Windows 7 in dropdown menu.

using a PE based system would selecting windows 7 work for it? I was using wintoflash even install with usb, but it installed once and I am so perplexed as to why it did that, now it says no CD, very confused.
