Is CrapCleaner a good free alternative to Webroots Window Washer

    Hi,
Got new PC with Windows 7 OS.
I had Webroots Window Washer on the old PC which I thought was excellent.
I have down loaded CrapCleaner onto the new PC to save me having to buy Webroot.
CrapCleaner does not seem to have the options that Webroot has, ie. add bleach or overwrite a certain number of times.
Is CrapCleaner a good enough programme to do it`s job.
Don`t suppose there is anyway to transfer Webroot from the old PC to the new is there?
    Regards

I recommend that you let Windows 7 manage itself. If Windows 7 feels slow, go to start then type msconfig. Press enter. When msconfig pops up, click on the startup tab. Disable everything except your antivirus. Also, you can run disk cleanup. To do this, go to start, then type in disk cleanup and press enter. Check everything you want it to clean and click ok. Now, if you still want to use a 3rd party program, I would use ccleaner. That's the only one I would ever (partially) trust.

Are you referring to CCleaner, perhaps the most respected little app in the entire tech industry used by almost everyone?

I believe that was it's original name.

Yes, it is flawless both for Disk and Registry cleanup. It's Programs Uninstall interface often works better than Windows's own Programs and Features. You can turn off Startup Items to get a Clean Boot.
