Time to start "Fresh Install" tweaks list!

Hi guys- October is coming soon - and as I just did a quick search here in the forum, there does not seem to be a compiled list of suggested tweaks after a fresh install. For instance I just read about tweaking the Aero Peek speed from 400ms to 40. It was a new one to me, but something like that might be handy. WHich got me wondering what else might be....

SO what I'd like to see is your suggestions and instructions for tweaks after you do a clean install (like many of us will do come October). Some folk with BuKu RAM may disable the page file, add certain screen savers from certain sites or add specific tools and gadgets... What are you planning to do with YOUR next clean install?

One of the first things I do is disable UAC .

Them goes system restore etc and unwanted services.

Oh Man. I never thought of doing that. You may have just saved me a great deal of pain in the butt window-clicking! It's paying off already! (for me at least)
