    Working until it updates

I've recently installed Windows 7 a few times, trying to solve this problem. On initial install all is fine, but after a while things stop working. ipconfig. ping, installing software, Manage computer, open attachents from outlook 2007 etc. all stop working after a while.

Any ideas? I have the latest updates installed and even tried stopping updates, it still happens. works great for a while and then certain functions stop. A few guys at work are having this problem and others not... ??

    Welcome to the forums.

    What's your laptop model number?

Is this a clean install or and upgrade??

You say other people at work.. So this happens to Pc's on the network?

Or is it happening to you at home..

    Ugh.. Details please. :)

    Hi, tx for replies.

It is an HP Compaq nw9440. 80GB HDD, 2 GB RAM. Nvidea quadro fx 1500M Video. Is is a clean install, partitioned and formatted from the win 7 installion (boot from CD). No RAID, just the HDD is SATA.
Installation is the 32 bit version, Windows 7 ultimate. MSDN release.

    Connected to corporate DOMAIN.
Other people with problems are also running HP's (NC8430) on the same DOMAIN (However 2 others also with HP on Domain does not have the problem, they have Compaq 8710W's and run the 64 bit version.
