Windows 7 Freezes at startup - XP

    Hello guys,

I successfully installed Windows 7 on my XP computer. Whenever I start-up Windows 7 and get on the desktop. It freezes after 5 minutes of using it. Everytime. Also, I noticed some line across my monitor o.O Which is weird.

    Here is the spec:

It's likely you're not getting help because you no longer have Win7 installed.

To prepare to reinstall it if you want I would run Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to see if it flags any issues that might relate to the problems. You may have needed a newer Display driver or a performance Update, both of which might be delivered via Windows Updates if they are all installed. if not I would seek out a Display driver update.

To get a perfect install work through these steps to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which are the same for retail.

Then if problems persist begin working through these Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 - Windows 7 Forums and post back what you find so we can help you more.

So do you need help with XP or Win 7? I'm confused.

If Win 7 what is your exact question?
