After install Big red ERROR comes up on screen. Hello, I just got a new laptop and im trying to put windows 7 on it. 64bit. Everything goes well until it goes to first boot up. When it goes to first boot up after that display of weird lights on the bottom. It restarts it self and then goes to boot though vista, Which isn't there any more cause i wanted to format to get rid of blotter where. After it boots though vista it goes to a grey screen then all of a sudden a ERROR comes up in what looks like a text document.
Over top of that it says Can not open file C:\RECOVERY.DAT.
I hope you guys can help! | My System Specs |

did you get Windows 7 installed?
Fill in your system specs. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Too many to list. OS XP, Seven, 2008R2 CPU AMD, Intel, VIA Motherboard Various Memory Corsair, Kingston, etc. Graphics Card ATI, NVIDIA Monitor(s) Displays Samsung Keyboard qwerty Hard Drives Maxtor, Western Digital Internet Speed 22 Mb/s @ home, 1 Gb/s @ server Other Info All of my systems still run fastest on XP 32-bit for the most part. Win7 is fun to play with, but I still prefer XP for raw speed, security, and functionality. |

your boot menu is messed up. There shouldn't be an entry for Vista at all. Even so, there should be an entry for Windows 7. Select it.
I did a search on google and people are getting Windows 7 to run on that laptop so at least we know Windows 7 supports it. Maybe try the 32-bit version. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Too many to list. Orbital is talking about booting from the DVD. It has to work, you've already done it to install Windows 7. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Too many to list.
