Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

You cannot upgrade from a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64-bit version.

If you want the 64-bit version it has to be a clean install.

Have a look here, in particular, Option Four.

Clean Install with a Upgrade Windows 7 Version

What installation media are you using?

If it's an ISO, it may be a bad burn so you might want to download another ISO and burn that one.

You cannot use the evaluation version to clean install Windows.

You need to buy the full version, and then carry out a clean install.

Did you buy Win7 Student version, and have you downloaded the ISO for the licensed version?

If so burn it to DVD or write to flash stick using Windows 7 USB-DVD Download Tool.

Then boot the DVD or stick to Clean Install Windows 7.
