    BOOTMGR is Missing

All of a sudden i get this message when i turned on my laptop.

I've created a proper Windows 7 boot cd which has worked before on other machines.

I've also changed boot setting from BIOS , CD/DVD rom as first priority , also tried to boot the cd from boot menu

Whenever i try to boot the CD i get the same message BOOTMGR is missing , press ctrl + ALT + delete to reboot.

I am really frustrated because i cant find any other way to do a fresh , clean install of win 7 or any other os

There is no hidden recovery on this laptop.

    What should i do?

Work through these steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot.

The steps lead up to rescuiing your files if necessary then doing a Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7
which includes the latest official installer ISO to burn to DVD or write to flash stick - so that you have two possible bootable media to try to boot for repairs besides the Repair choice which may be on the F8 Advanced Boot Options .

Remember that besides setting the DVD or USB stick first to boot in BIOS setup, you can also try triggering it using the one-time BIOS Boot Menu key given on first boot screen. You're looking for a prompt to Press Any Key. Do you get that?

You have to plug in the flash stick which has been made bootable with the tool provided before it will show in the Boot menu, if it does.

If you're trying to boot a Win7 System Repair Disk and don't get the Press any Key prompt then you need to set the CD drive first to boot in BIOS setup, or trigger it from the one-time BIOS Boot Menu key I mentioned above. How to Boot your Computer from a Bootable CD or DVD

If that fails then try the flash stick or Installation DVD ISO burned or written with MS tool which I provided you.

Have you tried accessing System Recovery Options via F8?

Read the blue links so you understand fully the various approaches.

F2 is Bios , F8 is boot order and F3 is open cd rom

These are common reasons why you can't get the Press Any Key prompt: The media is not made bootable correctly by using the tool given and the official ISO file, or there is something wrong with the CD/DVD drive or USB stick/drive, user is not triggering either correctly in time before HD boots and shows error.

To make sure it's not your BIOS, reset it to defaults: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS
