Hard Drive shown in BIOS not in Windows

Hey, I just installed the RC last night and everything was going okay until I restarted my computer and my backup drive disappeared. It was accessible until I restarted, I didn't install any new drivers.

It's an IDE drive.. it doesn't show up in Disk Management either so I'm kind of stuck at what to do. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Click the start button.. then right click on Computer.. go to Management... in the system management window go down to Disk management.. it should show ur disk there.. you probably need to assign it a drive letter and viola ur done

Sorry, trip, but you didn't read carefully enough.

@typeslowly - did you do anything such as changing drive letters of other drives, or else start Windows backup and assign the drive as your backup drive for Windows 7? Did you upgrade to Windows 7 RC or perform a clean install? Dual booting or single booting?

I also deleted a post just after yours that was essentially correct (just was very nice about it) - we need a *lot* more information form you than just the fact that it is IDE, it disappeared after reboot, and that it was your (former) backup drive - things like your system information (b/c it could very well be related to a missing chipset driver) as well as previous OS (b/c it could be related to a FUBAR'd older chipset driver) and more details about what you did *exactly* will help us troubleshoot the issue.
