System Image Recovery for Win 7 PROBLEM!!!

Hi. I am a new user of a forum. I registered cause I need help.
I need to restore my computer which was bought in Dubai one year ago. The problem is that I cannot find installation CDs, anything. I wanted to make a System Image Recovery copy to my external disk, but the process is way to slow. I believe that I cannot make any progress on making copy so I need an advice how to proceed.
Is any other option how to do a restore or how to get the system image recovery?
I am not a programmer or extraordinary IT expert, but I can manage all my machines just fine.

    Any advice is welcome.

    Thanx so far.

Welcome to the Seven Forums, Ninchie.

One way would be to download an ISO image of your version of Windows 7 from Official Windows 7 SP1 ISO from Digital River « My Digital Life and burn it to a Windows 7 Installer DVD and reinstall Windows.

You might have to use the "eicfg Removal Utility" in case your version is Windows 7, Home Basic 64-bit.

To activate you can use your existing Product Key.

Check this excellent tutorial, which should get you out of trouble.

Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

As long as you download the ciorrect ISO and use the OEM product key from your comnputer you should finish up with a nice, lean system
