Enter Device Manager during install to uninstall any Devices showing in error (likely Display) so that install will complete, then update them from desktop. Device Manager - Access During Windows 7 Installation

The problem is that more than 2gb RAM can sometimes block Win7 install, so the inability to remove all but 2gb RAM is a problem whether it tests good or not.

Boot into Win7 System Recovery Options to run Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times making sure Win7 or it's 100mb System Reserved partition (preferred if you have it) is marked Active first: Partition - Mark as Active .

Make sure all other HD"s and peripherals are unplugged.

Did you complete all other Steps? What is SATA controller setting. Try another to install.

As a last resort move HD to another machine to install with only it plugged in, then SysPrep to move HD to another computer to return HD to problem rig. Make sure the SATA settings match.

Do you have a SATA HD? If so there should be a SATA setting near the HD listing in BIOS. Try install using AHCI mode first, then IDE.

Test your HD using maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan, followed by Disk Check run from the installer Command Line: DISKPART At PC Startup. Create a full disk partition using installer to run the Disk Check.

How many passes did you run with memtest? Try it overnight to stress the RAM.

Is HD detected in the BIOS?

What is the HD make? Test it with the HD maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan.

Can you describe what happens when you run SeaTools? Did the disk boot and show activity searching for the HD? What was the error?
