Jim,
I prefer asking a user to run DISKMGMT.MSC.

Why? because then the entire window is devoted to displaying the disk info without the left-hand side Navigation panel.
Sometimes that extra space is helpful.

And maximize the window.

Someone should do a tutorial with screenies: Diskmgmt.msc, maximize window, snip, save, attach.

Good point. I am just use to using the click method as I can never remember the shortcuts. Also I was still typing when you posted your method.

Jim,
Actually, you can:
Win | type Disk Management | Enter

Just a personal preference on my part for the .msc

Here's a list of the .msc files:
C:\windows\system32 100%>dir *.msc | select name

Name
----
azman.msc
certmgr.msc
comexp.msc
compmgmt.msc
devmgmt.msc
diskmgmt.msc
eventvwr.msc
fsmgmt.msc
gpedit.msc
lusrmgr.msc
NAPCLCFG.MSC
perfmon.msc
printmanagement.msc
rsop.msc
secpol.msc
services.msc
taskschd.msc
tpm.msc
WF.msc
WmiMgmt.msc

I only use a few of them. I am fond of devmgmt.msc, diskmgmt.msc, eventvwr.msc, gpedit.msc, lusrmgr.msc, secpol.msc, and services.msc.
