    Dual Monitor


    Hey, i tried to connect my TV to my laptop through the HDMI port.

    but under the screen resolution there is only my main screen =\

    Depends on the laptop...

    As a 'for instance'.. I have a thinkpad. And the external monitor is controlled by the presentation director software.
    Plus you can switch modes using Fn+F7.

    So to answer your question, you may find that answer in your laptops documentation.

    I have the problem that when i had windows vista (and xp for that matter) i simply plugged in my samsung syncmaster 172N (yes its old, i hope thats not the problem) and it automatically started up and connected, i recently upgraded to 7 and now whenever i plug in the monitor it just has the power light flashing, which it normally does when its plugged into a computer but there'e no power, any suggestions?
