I'm calling foul on this one... If your copy of windows 7 is legit and activated/registered, then you dont need a program to show you your key, you should already have it. If you have lost it, you will need to contact support @ wherever you downloaded it from... LFB is right ... you're not nearly as clever as you think you are...

There may be a valid reason for needing the key - although not many.

Like any user, I believe sensor should be given the benefit of the doubt, until it can safely be determined that there is malfeasance involved. For now, he's only asked if there was a way it can be displayed.

Note in his original post he states "to view my own Windows 7 serial. But these two programs failed in showing me anything correct" if he knows they're 'incorrect, it's presumably because he has it to compare against.

This is a dubious request, granted, but he should be given the opportunity to respond to the obvious questions. Comments like the one above are shameful.

I guess I feels he deserves "serious" answers. Lets see if he gets any.

He's asking as a safety precaution, if a client can access his key information then they can undoubtably activate a pirated copy of Windows 7. So, if the software exists & works on the RTM then i'm sure we can give acceptable answers and not resort to lowering ourselves to gutter speak.

Hi LFB, I think we can let the OP know we are on to him, and to find his answer somewhere else without using the F word.

Saw people getting banned for less, and would hate to see this happening to you.

    Jellybean Keyfinder?

i hoped to get a serious answer. I know that you want to help other people, but......

Jellybean works with XP and some forms of NT but it never works with Windows 7-64 Bit RTM. Even the Website was last updated in Dec 2008. There was no Windows 7 available in Dec 2008.

    Pleeeeease any other "serious" answers.

    Thanks in advance
You obviously know about 'jellybean keyfinder' so asking for a 'serious' answer in this manor is going to no doubt lead to a slating from those who try to help you

We shall see what we shall see .... and if a customer/client is able to access his computer, then he needs to rethink his security procedures.

sensor, the program Tweak 7 will allow you to display the currently used key for Windows 7. In order to limit this kind of exposure, you can easily restrict its use - or installation by only creating guest or standard user accounts.

    And to answer the OP.

Yes there are several programs that can show the serial, and they are not illegal tools.
In fact quite a few forum members have one particular program that shows it.

If you are worried about the security, set the policies to restrict users installing programs.

Make sure they can't login to an admin account.
