Windows 7: How do I disable a Norton activation on my netbook?

I just received my Gateway NightSky LT3119u and the first thing that pops up on screen is an activation. The close button is a faded! What do I do?

Just uninstall it Norton.

If you want to use it, activate it.

If you dont want , do what nckfrtg28 suggested .

The result will be the same, The screen will not be there

When I try to uninstall, I get:

Reboot your computer and try again. Also, be sure to use the Norton removal tool: Download Norton Removal Tool 2012.0.5.15 Free - A program that can remove some Norton software from your computer - Softpedia

I recommend people use the Windows uninstaller instead of a third party's uninstaller. I don't trust third party uninstallers and generally, they aren't as good as the Windows uninstaller.
