Win 7 stuck on completing install

Hey guys, since my school let us download any version of Win7 for free I thought I would try and install Win7 RC Ultimate (x64) onto my desktop. The problem is that when it goes to completing install it stops and wont progress. At first I thought it was just taking a long time but I let it run over night (6+hours) and still no luck.

What do I do I dont want to go back to my vista install

I tried it a second time and it seemed to take it... but then I realized RC is not the final release . so Im making a Win7 pro disc and trying that now . Ill post again if I have trouble with that.

    Welcome to SevenForums,

I see by your specs you have 4gb ram. This has been a minor problem on some new installs of Win7 Try it with 2gb for install, then you can put the other 2gb back in later. What speed did you burn the .iso ? 4x seems to work the best !

I fixed it, DocBrown. I took out all my USB devices when installing and it seemed to work. Now I have the full retail of Win7! woohoo!
