It sounds like your Windows imstallation is corrupted. It didn't complete. Attept to reinstall Windows 7 again on your hard drive. If that doesn't work, try legally downloading a cooy of Windows 7 from here: Official Windows 7 SP1 ISO from Digital River My Digital Life

Welcome aboard, aniee

Download the iso as the link prescribed by windude99, and then follow the tutorial Clean Install Windows 7 . While in step 8, delete all the partitions, and continue.

it will lead to a working windows 7 installation to you.

If you want to clean the disk as you said in your first post, you can do that with the Windows installation disc by using the "clean" command from within the Diskpart application.

You access Diskpart by hitting Shift F10 at the language screen after booting from the Windows installation disc.

The disc you got from your teacher could be good, bad, or whatever. We have no details about it.

Do not address the volunteers who are trying to help you disrespectfully or you will quickly be shown the door.

You were provided with a very valuable link to download the latest installer ISO with SP1 because the error you got is typically related to a bad installer.

However if Linux was on the HD it does need to be wiped first of GRUB boot code. Use Diskpart Clean Command from DVD System Recovery Options Command.

Then follow these iillustrated steps to Clean Install Windows 7.
