What Driver do I Need For Win 7 Installation?

Hello. I have an Intel G41 motherboard, Core 2 Quad CPU Q8200, NVIDIA GTX 560 Ti graphics card, hd is Western Digital, IDE ATA/ATAPI.
I currently have Windows XP installed. I want to partition my hard drive following the instructions on this site, and install Windows 7. Thus creating a dual-boot setup.
However, during Windows 7 install, it asks me for drivers, either on a CD or on a USB stick.

What drivers does it need?

I'm assuming it's looking for RAID drivers so I went to the downloads center at Intel and searched for them.

Unfortunately, of the 641 found, I do not know what to download, exactly.

Do you know what specific driver I should download and unzip to my flash drive?

Thanks for your help!

(I want to install Win 7 so my graphics card can take advantage of DirectX 11 in gaming.)

Also, if I change my BIOS setting to IDE or SATA or whatever, will I still be able to boot in to XP?

Most often the error means there is something wrong with the installer ISO, DVD burn or flash stick write.

Where did you get Win7? Did you burn the DVD yourself? If so confirm the ISO or download the latest and burn another using ImgBurn at 4x speed, or write to flash stick using Universal USB Installer.

Please post back a screenshot of your maximized Disk Management drive map and listings: Screenshot with Paint.

If you need to use AHCI mode then you can convert XP afterward this way: Enable AHCI in Windows XP After Installation

I downloaded Windows 7 Home 32-bit (That's what I have license key for.) from here:
Windows 7 ISO x86 and x64 Official Direct Download Links (Ultimate, Professional and Home Premium) « My Digital Life

But I downloaded the latest from the link you provided. I'll try the ImgBurn option. I had used CD Burner XP to make a DVD from the iso.

I hope the snapshot I provided helps - I wasn't too sure what you wanted - I'm comfortable/familiar with computers but not that tech savvy.

In addition to solving the installer problem you'll need to shrink C to install Win7 as shown in Dual Boot Installation with Windows 7 and XP

This is almost always an installer problem.

Download the latest ISO for your version again and burn it to DVD or write to flash stick using Steps 1 and 2 here: Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

Amazing. You rock! Downloaded iso from link you provided and used ImgBurn at 4x speed, plus verify. Booted from installation disc and everything worked! I now get a dual-boot option when I turn on my computer - Win XP or Win 7. Thank you so much for your help. I am very happy.

No prob. Stick with the steps given in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 to get and maintain a perfect Win7 install.

When you're ready to get rid of XP you'll need to Mark Win7 Partition Active then run Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times until Win7 reclaims the System Active flags. You can then delete XP in Disk Mgmt, resize Win7 into the space using Partition Wizard CD if desired.
