Deleted partition and new HDD -> BOOTMGR is missing

    Hi guys and gilrs,

Yesterday I bought a new 1.5TB hdd and decided to make from it one new partition called "X:". My old hdd was 150GB(separated into "C:" and "D:"), so I deleted "D:" and expanded my "C:" with the unallocated memory from the deleted partition and formated the new expanded "C:". So when I stared installing Windows 7 Ultimate x64...It was all okay until I had to restart the computer(one of the last steps from installation) and then the "BOOTMGR is missing" occured. I tried repair the startup and also to rebuild the bcd but with no success.

    Thanks in advance.

Where did you get WIn7? How is it activated? Is it a known-good clean and unscratched DVD?

Try wiping the HD before installation from the DVD System Recovery Options Command Line with Diskpart Clean Command.

Unplug all other HD's and peripherals before install. Reset BIOS to defaults: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS. While in BIOS setup set SATA controller to AHCI.

Follow these steps to get a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.
