Hi policetac -
Is this an error initially during Windows 7 install prompting for DVD drivers
? That is almost always an installer fault due to bad ISO, burn to DVD or write to flash stick. In that case download the latest official installer for your licensed version and write to stick or burn to DVD using Steps 1 and 2 in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7
which steps are the same for retail.
If that isn't the issue or it fails again with new installer, then wipe the HD using Diskpart Clean Command
You'll likely only need the wireless or ethernet driver
downloaded and unzipped on another computer to a CD or stick to install and get online if Windows 7 doesn't provide a network driver to do so. Then check optional Updates for newer or additonal drivers since Windows 7 is the authority on its own drivers. After all updates are done any drivers missing in Device Manager can be found on the Support Downloads webpage for your model PC or device.
