    Laptop...died?

I was installing Windows 7 onto my laptop (previously vista) and install seemed to run smoothly (went past asking about.. PC name, network etc) but after it said it was preparing for first startup, nothing boots. After restarting.. besides the startup Acer screen, there is only a black screen with a blinking underscore at the top left. Whats happening :S?

I've tried F2 and running a setup but it just shows me some specs and such

    Btw it has 2.0 Ghz + 2GB ram x__x

A clean install I am assuming right? Also is it the RC download from Microsoft? If a clean install than try to install seven again. If an upgrade than a repair install should fix it

i don't really know why but this worked for me a few times, but I haven't tried it with this problem.

Hold down the power button for 5+ seconds, disconnect all cords from the laptop, remove the battery and let it sit for 5 min.
Then connect all the cords again and reboot.

At the acer screen, press f12 (i think, whatever the button is that it says you can press)
    and then continue the boot.

    Hope it helps
