| Windows 7 Pro x64 1 posts | Trying to revert from failed new MB install, now Win 7 won't boot. I made the naive mistake of trying to upgrade from a Biostar TH67+ MB to a MSI Z77A-GD65 MB using my existing Windows install. After I installed the new MB and the new drivers within Win 7 Pro 64 bit, the machine woudn't boot. So I reverted to the Biostar MB and it still won't boot. I have tried Safe Mode (which just hangs) and I have run Startup Repair several times. Suggestions on how I can further troubleshoot/repair the boot? |

| Win7 x 6 PC's 36,545 posts California, Florida, Boston | You need to SysPrep an installation on old hardware before changing to new, or use Paragon Adaptive Restore CD to PNP adjust, Acronis Universal Restore during reimaging. Since it's too late now boot the Windows 7 DVD or Repair CD to try running Startup Repair a few times. If this fails rescue any files using Copy & Paste - in Windows Recovery Console then Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. |
