Laptop Won't boot Anything

    if you can't even go to the command line with windows DVD, then remove the hard drive and boot with ubuntu on the usb that would clear things to see if its the hard drive that causing the freezing and if it is then i don't see any other option but to get another hard drive.

    another idea to plug the hard drive in with an adapter to the usb port after you have ubuntu running, i have never tired that move.
