    Welcome aboard, Bindu :)

    Yes you can.

While installing windows in the first HDD, remove the second one. When installing in the second one, remove the first one and insert the second one.

To select which installation/hdd is to boot from, use the BIOS one time boot menu key.

If any more information is needed, let us know.

Make the situation a bit clear.

You have installed windows on one HDD, then removed it, plugged the other , and now when trying to install on that one you are getting that message ?
Are you getting any error code ? Or just that message only ?

I hate to bring up the license situation, but other than that, have you checked the drivers available for Windows 7 x86? Since I do not see many, you may have a UEFI install. Would you happen to know if it is?

The easiest way I know to check, is to open Disk Management and check to see if you have a EFI (100 mb) or so partition.

First, clean all the data and partitions of the second HDD using this method Disk - Clean and Clean All with Diskpart Command .

Then try the installer disk, make partitions etc.

While partitioning, dont make more than three partitions, coz the installation procedure will make another partition automatically.
