Windows 7 - Installation stops during Completing Installation step |

Installation stops during Completing Installation step When doing a clean installation Windows 7 everything seems to work fine until the middle of the Completing Installation step. At a point in it the installation says "Setup will continue after starting Windows" and the system begins a reboot. It shuts down, starts the reboot, has the Starting Windows message showing, the four little spots of color move around and grow larger and then merge into the windows symbol but then all action stops. No hits on the HD and the CD reader stops.
Any suggestions about what is causing the problem or what to do?

Any suggestions about what is causing the problem or what to do? I suspect the video driver. can you boot into safe mode? if so you can get and install the driver for your card. You could really help by finishing your system specs when you resolve your current situation

Thank you for your quick reply. No it will not boot up in safe mode. It gets to a point where it is loading some drivers and then stops.
The computer is a Toshiba Satellite M45-S355. I have run the Windows 7 Tool program on it and it said there should be no problem loading Windows 7 but that I may need to update some drivers after installation for some functions to work properly. It seemed to be talking about some of the special buttons which I don't care about anyway.
I will attempt to complete the information about the computer now. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Toshiba Satellite M45-S355 OS XP CPU Intel Pentium M processor 750[1.86GHz, 2MB L2 cache, 533MHz] Memory 1G Graphics Card Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 Sound Card Analog Devices, Inc. I had these types of problems on a couple machines. Just clearing the cmos fixed it in both cases.
Of course I had to re-enable my sata drives and other important parmeters but it fixed the installation problems first time I tried. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home built OS Windows 7 RTM X64 CPU Q9650-4.275GHz, E8600 4.5GHz, E6750-3.8GHz Motherboard Evga 780i FTW Memory G.Skill PC2 9600 1200Mhz 5 5 5 15 2T Graphics Card GTX480 Sound Card Asus Xonar D2 Monitor(s) Displays HannsG Screen Resolution 1680X1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Mouse Logitech G9 PSU ThermalTake Toughpower 1000Watt modular Case ThermalTake XaserV Cooling Xigmatek S1283 Hard Drives GSkill Phoenix Pro 120GB SSD Internet Speed T1 |

I had a similar problem twice: once it was the processor and there was no solution rather than replacing it. It was an AMD 4200+, so it doesn't seem to be the case here.
Second time (another machine) was patience, I had to wait ~20 minutes or half an hour until anything happened. Then the installation continued normally. I am not saying it always happens, I have seen several ppl saying it gets stuck there forever, but it might be worth trying to just wait a bit. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Wally, Innc. I appreciate the suggestion but alas I have let it set overnight and it did not restart. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Toshiba Satellite M45-S355 OS XP CPU Intel Pentium M processor 750[1.86GHz, 2MB L2 cache, 533MHz] Memory 1G Graphics Card Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 Sound Card Analog Devices, Inc.
