Win7 setup ACPI not compatible?

    I am beginning to think that my GPU is causing the problems, seeing as the symptoms are the same as described in the link provided above.
    What are your suggestions to address the issue?

    Does your motherboard have an onboard video connection ? & you could take the video card out ?

    I think it does, because there is a VGA slot in the back of my computer, away from the two DVI slots of my GPU. However, if I took these out, would that prevent Windows from being installed due to it not finding a graphic card?

    Actually, upon checking I find that it is a VGA-out slot. However, my monitor has a USB monitor function. If I took out my GPU and ran my monitor through the USB would that be okay?

    15 pin SVGA port should work fine if you monitor connects to it

    I don't have one. I'm going to run my monitor through the USB function. Would it be a good idea to remove my GPU and then attempt the install?

    USB Monitors must be new, I have not seen one yet ??? But if you can see a video screen on boot with it, take out the GPU card & try
