Unfortunately, I have a Samsung HM500JI which is an older Samsung model. Samsung HDD department was bought out by Seagate, so I can't use Samsung support. These drives haven't been put under the Seagate utility DOS software.

The Seagate software did detect a lot of errors, but wasn't allowed to repair them as the reason above.

With the cleanall diskpart and option 2 of disk check, the Windows install still had the same error, and had 0B of space left with a 455GB partition.

Is it time for a new drive? Or is there anything else I can do?

I am going to bed now... I am in Partiton Wizard right now letting a Surface Test go through to see what it finds. I will report back in the morning with the results.

EDIT: Surface Test is hitting error filled sectors. Went through 53 squares before hitting first error. Gone from 5.5k MB/s to now 430MB/s(Keeps getting lower). If this continues, this will take a week to scan. (11:20PM MST)

The drive is pretty much full of errors. I woke up this morning to the progress moving up 0.01%, moving at 13.47MB/s, and an estimated time of completion at 307 hrs. I stopped the scan once I saw this as I had to go.

    What should I do?

Seems like I am an error magnet... I am now getting 0x80070017 error when Windows is expanding the files. I am currently trying to make a bootable USB device, but in the last try it was missing bootsect. I ran a Windows Memory Diagnostic and it all checked back.

    Any recommendations?

Did you get the new drive? If so, you might want to use the manufacturer's diagnostic tool to ensure it's "good as new".

But first, you might want to run memory tests following this tutorial (it's better than most other memory testers):

    RAM - Test with Memtest86+

I did get a new drive and I will run the diagnostic tool when I get a chance. I did run a RAM test earlier and it was all good.
