I cant set partition as active !!!
I cant set partition as active !!!
Then it must be a Logical partition which can't host its own boot files. Do you have a 100mb System Reserved partition as I stated it is the preferred one to mark Active?
If this doesn't help then post back a camera snap of Partition Wizard bootable CD's drive map and listings.
Did you replace physical disk MBR with win7 MBR (instead of grub)?
Did you replace C "volume boot sector" with win7 bootsector (not neccesary, can't imagine why grub would be there). Anyway replace both.
Boot into recovery environment->command prompt
Both succesfull? If so... reboot normally and delete both partitions. I'm 100% sure it will still bootCode:bootrec/fixmbr bootrec/fixboot
