Windows 7: Visible "System Reserved" partition

Visible "System Reserved" partition

Recently after flashing a new BIOS I had to do a StartUp Repair (got the "BOOTMGR is missing" message) which did its job and all is working fine, but now I have the "System Reserved" partition showing up when I open Windows Explorer. It's also taking up the F: drive letter, which used to belong to my external HDD. I don't really care about either of that, but for aesthetic purposes if anything, is there a way to make it go away?

Hello mate.

So you can get the correct advice, please post a maximized snip / screen-shot of Windows 7 disk management, making sure the individual columns in the top section are clearly readable, have a look at this tutorial linked below.

Unless you are using a BIOS managed dual-boot there should be no harm in marking the F: System Reserved as " Inactive " and deleting it in Windows disk management, have a look at Option Two #2 in the tutorial linked below for the process.
Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times

If you want to recover that space back into the D: partition have a look at Step Three of this tutorial linked below; be sure to post back here with updates.

Thanks for the links. I'm not overly concerned about the 100mb, so I won't recover it. I found that simply removing its assigned drive letter was enough to make it invisible in explorer again, so I just did that and assigned F: back to the old drive and it's all back to normal. Thanks for the help.

My pleasure mate, good to see you found a solution you're happy with though I would mark it Inactive and delete it so it doesn't cause future issues.
