ok, i did the clean reset thing you sent me and now my computer is doing the dual option thing at start up....

yes. it was the only option is gave me. ughhhh!!!!!!!! it didn't even ask me for a windows 7 activation code thing...

Are you booting the Windows 7 installation DVD for the install?

I put the cd in, restarted the computer and at the dell logo screen pressed f12 for boot options. Then i clicked on the cd/dvd option to boot from... is this wrong?

If i do it the way i just posted to you, it brings me to the same thing as far as booting from the cd.

That's why I kept asking if you have an actual Windows 7 installation DVD, not one that says Dell on it, is that all you have?

I can't find the space of the file I've deleted it from desktop.
After I changed c: partition from primary to logical using mini tool partition wizard program and created two volumes, there was a file on the dektop, about 88 Gb size, then I deleted it but I can't find its space when do shrenke volume to c: partition.

Went through to Windows 7 installation, deleted wrong HDD volume..
I had all my files saved on the secondary Western Digital 160GB Sata HDD, it was listed first at the time... But I accidentally deleted the volume on it.. :( Is there a way to get those files back? I had photos, movies, music, some other important files. The whole reason for having them on that...

Deleted music but no free space showing
Hi,,I deleted about 70 GB of music files ,did a delete but no move to recycle bin,but I do not see the freed up disk space,,went into disk cleanup but it doesn't show there. Do I need to do a defrag in order to get that freed up space? Did a search for any music on my system but nothing...

External HDD, wrong Used Space shown!
guys, my external HDD file system before was FAT32, now i made it to NTFS using the "convert X: /fs:NTFS" command... after that, i think my HDD's "used space" went up, what could be possible problems.. i used the convert command because my files in external HDD was worth more than 200gb+, so...

Hard disk wrong free space
In my second hard disk D:\ i have files whose size is 75GB in total. But the hard disk shows the used space to be 135GB. 6OGB are missing,WHY? (I have the show all files option enable,i run the...disk cleanup,full scan disk check with enable the Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors)...
