O.K., I 'unchecked' the 'Allow the computer to turn off power to the adapter', and will test again very late today or tomorrow (Monday).
BUT, I tested this morning (Sunday), and it was instantly awake and responsive when I visited my site. However, There were two (successful) visits during the nite (from 'bots' of some sort). Because my Apache access.log showed them.
So, 'something' was keeping the adapter awake all nite. Because, apparently, Windows 7 didn't turn it off. Or, if it did, it bounced quickly awake.
