Hello, I must first preface this post by saying I'm not a computer wiz, so take it easy on me!
I was interested in restoring my ASUS US6E-BAL7 to factory defaults. I've done quite a bit of research via Google on how to do this on ASUS computers. By using the [F9] method on ASUS logo when booting, I am prompted to a program called ASUS Preload Wizard, which gives me 3 options:
Recover Windows to first partition only
Recover Windows to entire HD
Recover Windows to entire HD with two partitions
After doing a bit of research, I felt it best to choose option two. However, there are a few things I would like to be sure of before I proceed with the process:
Does the ASUS U56E-BAL7 have it's own recovery partition so that I may go about this process without disks and ENSURE COMPLETELY that my computer will be 'fresh out-of-the-box' status, with all required drivers
fully capable of reinstalling themselves, etc? Or is there any indication that I will need to order disks in order to recover?
Has anyone here ever used the ASUS Preload Wizard option without disks, is it possible, etc?
