Slow down a bit migRas By the way welcome to the Se7enforums! since no one did that on the other thread you came in on at Nvidia driver installation issues driving me crazy!!!

Rather then hijacking this one somewhat you might want to start a new one on this since it's a totally different problem in the Hardware + Devices section. Right now we're trying to get Madog's situation resolved here in Installation + Setup. Start a new one there guy. Then you will even get more ideas on that problem there!

test the RAM. Memtest86 is a great FREE tool you can get here.

second, when all of the DIMM slots are occupied, many motherboards will undervolt the RAM, as most people/users will only be using two modules, this is usually not an issue. check the voltages in your BIOS, and if there is any instability, up the voltage a lil. find your RAM's specs from the manufacturer to make sure your motherboard is providing adequate voltage, and the current does not fluctuate.

using 2 sets of 4gb (one PNY and one Mushkin) for 8gb in my system took a little tinkering to get stable, and i had to up my voltages to 1.65v which is well within the tolerance for my RAM (up to 1.8v is upper limit of my modules).

if your RAM passes MemTest, then I would suspect the voltage needs to upped to allow boot to desktop, and grant stability. if your RAM fails, then RMA or return to vendor for replacement, depending on your options.

also check that RAM is set in your BIOS to be running as the manufacturer lists for your RAM. most of the time auto-detect works, but manually setting to the manufacturers spec's is another option.
