Switching PC's I was wondering if anyone knows how to move Windows 7 license from one PC to another. I originally installed it on my desktop to try it out but I want to move it to my laptop. | My System Specs |

Either change the license key of Windows 7 on your desktop, or format the drive so that it's no longer in use (it is against the EULA to use the same license on multiple machines at once). If you ran out of activations you will need to call up Microsoft and explain the situation. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Too many to list. OS XP, Seven, 2008R2 CPU AMD, Intel, VIA Motherboard Various Memory Corsair, Kingston, etc. Graphics Card ATI, NVIDIA Monitor(s) Displays Samsung Keyboard qwerty Hard Drives Maxtor, Western Digital Internet Speed 22 Mb/s @ home, 1 Gb/s @ server Other Info All of my systems still run fastest on XP 32-bit for the most part. Win7 is fun to play with, but I still prefer XP for raw speed, security, and functionality. |

I thought there was no restriction on the usage of the product key for the current Windows 7 test systems. For a normal license, however, the restrictions explained above apply. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba - 4 laptops and 2 desktops OS Vista, Windows7, Mint Mate, Zorin, Windows 8 CPU from 1.6GHz Duo to i7 Monitor(s) Displays 2x HP w2207 Keyboard with trackball - no mices Mouse Trackball mice Hard Drives 5x HDD, 7x SSD, 12x Externals Internet Speed DSL 6000 |

Good point.
I forget that some people might not be using the final version. Although with free trial available I can't imagine why | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Too many to list.
