XP does not have the SATA drivers required by new hardware. You'll need to either virtualize XP in Windows 7 which is preferred now, or slipstream SATA controller driver into a SP3 installer: SATA Drivers - Slipstream into Windows XP CD

Please explain your problem in full sentences and include any screenshot of what you are seeing - using the Snipping Tool in Start menu, then attaching in reply box using paper clip.

Have you tried virtualizing XP first using freeware like VMWare, Virtual Box or XP mode?

The correct way to install an OS is always to boot the installer. How to Boot your Computer from a Bootable CD or DVD

You'll need to boot the XP SP3 CD to install to see if it has the required SATA drivers which XP often lacks on new hardware. If not you'll have to Slipstream SATA Drivers into Windows XP CD

For this reason many XP users prefer to virtualize XP from within Windows 7 using freeware like VirtualPlayer, Virtual Box or XP Mode.

ok.. ill explain clearly..
im not using any vmware and else...

im used windows xp when i bought laptop. after that i installed windows 2008 server r2 as dual boot. i used some days as dual boot. after some days i did something then windows xp is not working.. so that only 2008 is only have.

then im trying to install xp with clean installation. first i tryed from windows as run setup file of xp3, but that setup window does not enable the "install xp" option in that window.

and second time i try from booting, it is done copying the file for installation of xp.. after copying the setup files it have to restart when that time a blue screen error is occurring. it says the top as (not exactly)" xp software has some virus and also virus is their in boot sector like that.." and the blue screen at the bottom the error message id is 0x00000007B( 0x......) .

this is my problem ...

plzz tel me how to install xp in my lapy..

and i think it is downgrade problem.. for that is their any OEM xp should i have to use?

and also i put a img of my problem at installation instance ::

You must first format the drive to get rid of Win Sever. XP can not be installed over the top of that server OS. It has to be installed to a Clean hard drive.

You can boot free Partition Wizard bootable CD to delete the XP partition, then try booting XP CD again to create and full format a partition there.

If XP CD blue screens again then you'll need the SATA drivers as I explained before.
