now i have got a windows 7 64 bit reinstallation dvd(from dell) from from one of my friend also having the same laptop.
I wanted to ask that will this dvd work for my pc too??
Is your system a Dell computer? If it is it may work or it may not. But if your system originally came with Win 7 Home Premium then even if it does work you are in violation of the License. As that system is only licensed for 7 Home Premium.

So no one here can help you with this as it goes against the forum rules.

    Good Luck.

Then it will work and you will not be violating the License terms.

Go for it and Good Luck.

No it doesn't matter with Dell OS DVDs. They are only tied to Dell computers not to any one model of Dell computers. One disc fits, works on, all Dell computers.

If it has SP1. Read the label.

Otherwise if you are following the tutorial to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 you should have seen that the latest official installer is provided in the first step.
