    Easy transfer problem

I have used WET to tranfer files from an XP machine to an external HD per WET instructions. I am running Home Premium 64 bit program on Lenovo laptop.
When I attach HD to new computer WET gives the message "cannot open files".
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

It's not a highly reliable tool in my experience.

I'd just use another method if at all possible---rather than fighting it for hours.

What specific types of files were you transferring?

Thanks, files are pictures, videos, and documents.
    Any suggestions on other programs?

    If I had a choice, I wouldn't use a program.

I'd just copy the files from one location to another--possibly by using a USB thumb drive, possibly by temporarily connecting the destination drive to the PC containing the source drive, possibly by burning DVDs, whatever.
