Welcome midi,
Good job on filling in your specs.
lets start with the basic questions.
What build # of the Win_7 ? Where did you get the iso file from ? How did you burn the DVD ? slow x4 speed ?
Any Over Clocking of ram or cpu ?
There have been many installs that work better with only 2gb ram on initial install, then add the other 2gb later after everything is running ok. Hi.
Thanks DocBrown for quick reply.
Im get it from IEEE - Microsoft Software Offer for IEEE Student members
and i burn using powerISO with 4x speed. I try to install only 2gb memory but no luck.
seems like it all working fine just on the welcome screen, it just stop!
is that anyway to fix it tru safe mode cos i can log into safemode.
Just do another clean installation 64 bit but still no luck!
i think i should re-install my xp back | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Pegasus Computer OS Windows XP SP3 Professional Edition CPU AMD Phenom II X4 Motherboard Asus M3A Memory Kingston 1366 DDR3 4 GB Graphics Card Asus Dark Knight Edition Sound Card OnBoard Monitor(s) Displays Asus 26" PSU Antec TP Earth 750 Watt Case NZXT Whisper Cooling Thermaltake Hard Drives WD "AV" edition 1TB |

It's always the little overlooked things that cause a hang-up sometimes.
Several members have used Kaspersky, so I would give it a try.
Enjoy Win_7

thx The boot manager is from your earlier install that did not work.
Search for the tutorial on BCD edit, etc.
You think now the PCI wireless caused the problem ?
Can you let Windows 7 run connected to the internet via wired router for a day to get any updates. Then retry the wireless to see if it finds the current drivers, or try installing drivers in compatibility mode.
Getting late here in my TimeZone, Gotta do a 12 hour Science Project tomorrow.
