I think you want me to right click on the "Free Download" and Run as Administrator. (I won't do it until you confirm). I don't want to create any other issues make my present one worse, so I won't do anything until you give me the OK, and I doing exactly what you've instructed.
Click on Free -Free Download (in grey) and it will take you to download.cnet.com then click on Download Now(in green).
When downloaded then Right click the installer .exe to Run as Administrator.
Thanks I just did that but nothing happened. To be more exact, I clicked on the GREY (Free Download), then clicked on Download Now. It did a security scan, downloaded and told me the download was complete. It is now in my documents file and in my programs. I right clicked on the icon then went down to Run as Administrator, kept clicking next, and the last page I clicked install. I assume it's installed but that was it. Nothing else happened.
Is it doing anything at all, or did I follow the procedure incorrectly? As nothing is seeming to happen. Well at least my precicament isn't any worse than when I started the procedure with Malwarebytes.
Question if online is there any possible way to give someone access to CPU so they can see exactly? I know certain tech support with jobs/companies can do this, it was done for me not to long ago. Not regarding fincances, but a company program on my laptop.

I think I'm going to just reinstall win 7. i went to buy a USB stick and was talking to the computer guys there. They said to rid it of all viruses they charge $100 (before tax), and to reinstall Win 7 via the recovery partition would be $90 and change (everything included). I don't feel it's wise to spend $100 for something you've given me instructions how to do. But I do need 2 things from you......

How do I save my files to the USB stick? Yes I'm very computer basic. I did a quick count and all the files I need/want to save totals about 5 GB, so I don't forsee that being a problem.

Step by step (as basic as possible) on how to reinstall Windows 7, via the recovery partition. Please dumb down, as basic as possible, screenshots if you can.

ONE: Start computer. Insert the stick (also called thumb drive, flash drive) into an available USB port. In the lower right corner of the computer screen you should see a pop-up saying a new device has been detected. Shortly thereafter you should see another message that device driver was successfully installed and device is ready for use (or words to that effect.) Once you see that message you are ready to copy your files. If you see an AutoPlay dialog box open up MAKE NOTE OF THE DRIVE LETTER ASSIGNED TO THE STICK. YOU WILL NEED THAT DRIVE LETTER LATER. Now you can click on the red X (upper right) to close the AutoPlay dialog box.
NOTE: If no AutoPlay dialog box appears, you will have to click the Start button > Computer to see what drive letter has been assigned to the stick.
There are several ways to copy or move a file. Since you don't have that many I will suggest that you right-click on the file you want to move (a file can be a document, picture, video, etc.) When you right-click the file, a context menu will open up. Within that context menu you should see an option called "Send To". If you hover your cursor on that option another menu should open. This menu will list all of the locations where that file can be sent. One of the locations will be " Removable Disk ( X: ) " and X will be the letter assigned to the stick.

WarningWhen all files have been transferred, DO NOT remove the stick until you have clicked on the Safely Remove Hardware icon (lower right on computer screen) and you receive an OK To Remove message.

Thank you very much to everyone who helped, assisted and took the time out of their respective. I just reinstalled windows 7 and everything seems to be fine. All the issues that were there are gone. I have a couple of nagging issues, that I would like answers to if possible.
ONE - I am back using IE6 (I think). I just became so accustomed to IE7 (disliked it at first), and I just wanted to download IE7 but can't find it, it previously updated itself automatically, and want to update to the most recent and safest E browser?
TWO - Can I still locate "Disk Management" and how?
THREE - I thought Micro Office Word 2007 would have to be reinstalled, but I have it along with Excel, OneNote & Powerpoint. Is this just the 60 day free trial, or the one I would had previously (and would have to reinstall).
FOUR - Although I mainly used Internet Explorer, I like having Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome on hand. Again safest way to downlaod these would be? And would it be better to update IE to the most current version first?

You should have IE9 if you followed the steps in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 tutorial and immediately installed all of your Important and Optional Windows Updates.
Type Disk Management in start search box and click result at top.
Why do you have preinstalled MS Office? Did you run Factory Recovery instead of doing the Clean Reinstall you said you wanted? In that case it is a trial version. And you have the crappy bloated factory preinstall after all
Since it's only been posted a few times for you, here again is Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 if you decide you really do want to do the Clean Reinstall.
I'm almost certain I don`t have IE9, as I have the same version of IE that came when I bought this laptop in Aug 2010. Windows updated it for me on it`s own about a years after and I think that was IE7. I don``t know when IE9 was released but I doubt it was prior to Aug 2010, so I don`t have it. Would like to if at all possible.
I had a 60 day trial Microsoft Office that came with the laptop, and it's there again. I also had (and still do) Microsoft Office Word 2007, but I don't know if I should reinstall it, if it's already there. It's not an issue, the Microsoft Office Word 2007 that's there now is fine, and if it's the trial version, it'll be useless after 60 days and I'll have reinstall the full version again. Not a problem, but I'd rather not have to wait 60 days.
As far as a "clean reinstall" I don't think I did as marsmirmar said my "Factory Recovery" would take my laptop back to the way it was the day I purchased it. And doing that has dealt with all the issues I've been having the last 10 days to 2 weeks so I can't complain. Acer did provide me with some Games (Solitaire, Chess etc.) and a few other things that are nice, but you would be correct in saying there are some acer things I have no use for, and are pointless. Not a major issue and since everything is fine now I'll just leave it as is. If the option for a "Clean Reinastall" is still available, that's great, as that can always be done at a later date if wanted/needed.
