Laptop hasn't been running hot since the new hard drive. What do you want me to do with the drivers in your last post, I don't understand?

Edit: checked the bios, nothing about IDE/AHCI/RAID modes.

Post a new msinfo32 file.

You don't need SATA drivers, your BIOS is set to IDE mode, not SATA (AHCI or RAID), you have the pciide drivers listed from the msinfo32 file in your other thread.
The new msinfo32 file will help.

The temperatures have been idling around 44 degrees Celsius, min 39, max 44.

attached is the msinfo.

Take a look at that, I'm logging off for the night (2AM in NJ). I'll be back on in the morning.

The temps are good.

It's also showing the Intel RAID driver, MS ACHI driver, nVidia RAID driver,(these are all for the same thing - SATA (AHCI/RAID) mode, only one can be used at a time) all are disabled.
Your pciide driver, the IDE mode for the controller, is enabled and running.
Your 'IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers' drivers are ok, no need to try and install a new one. Could if we found one but, it's not necessary.

Run Driver Verifier for 24 hrs.
Let's see if that comes up with anything.
When it gives a BSoD, post the full BSoD report.

Just for S&G I installed the previous hard drive, and it still freezes when shutting down. I don't know if that helps. (or I screwed something else up).

Had to leave my house for a few hours, I walked into my room, noticed it said 'Windows has shut down incorrectly'. This is at 7:25PM. I'll check BlueScreenView to see what happened.

Edit: Oh wow, it happened several times today. Attaching BlueScreenView HTML report.

report.zip is from BlueScreenView
DRPCs.zip is the file you requested.

No need for the BlueScreenView files, the Windows Debugger gives a lot more useful information.
Can you attach all the files for the BSOD report next time?

Have you done the Windows updates?

Your can disable Driver Verifier.

You have 7 crash reports for today, all the same:
Code:
STOP 0x0000009F: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE
Usual causes: Device driver
Probably caused by : acpi.sys
FAULTING_MODULE: fffffa60008f7000 acpi
DEFAULT_BUCKET_ID: VERIFIER_ENABLED_VISTA_MINIDUMP
FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: X64_0x9F_VRF_3_IMAGE_acpi.sys
Check in your BIOS for the sleep modes, S3, turn off if enabled.

From your System Event Logs, confirming.
Code:
Event[3316]:
  Log Name: System
  Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power
  Date: 2012-10-15T19:25:25.351
  Event ID: 41

I used the program you asked before, it loaded completely and told me it made the report successfully, then the program crashed. I hoped it gathered all the info, I guess not.

It's connected to my wireless, but not on the same network as my MacBook. I did have a flash drive connected to it with mac files on it. I also typed everything in this thread, omitting files from the laptop. Here's the BIOS: Photo Album - Imgur

I turned Driver Verifier off.
