I must have done something wrong with Sysprep. I checked through all the drivers once I updated both laptops.

Now in device manager, under processor, both laptops where shown to be running the same processor. I cannot remember the models, but both where Intel dual cores. One was a 1.6Ghz while the other was a 1.73Ghz.

While when I go to my computer, it shows the correct processor, but unfortuntely while I go to device manager, it does show the wrong processor.

I will look into it more tomorrow

    - Move Windows 7 to a new HD on another computer
Follow steps 1 through 5 above (method 1)
Boot PC with an imaging CD/DVD (Paragon, Macrium etc.)
Maybe this is where I went wrong. I did Sysprep on the laptop, and then once it booted back up and got through all the registry etc, I then took an image. Should I insert a CD and take an image before it goes back through all the registry?

I think that may solve it. Back to the drawing board for me tomorrow
