Turned the laptop on today and it wanted to repair the startup. It's stuck. Won't load past the screen . If I tried to run windows normally, it comes back to this. Any ideas. A complete reboot is last resort

Work through these steps for Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 which start with disinfecting since Windows 7 may not repair until disinfected. Then everything possible to start Windows 7 is given leading up to if necessary rescuiing your files and running Factory Recovery or Clean REinstaling.
