    Further research found this related to USB 3.0 ports as well. I would guess a driver thing.

    just followed these instructions on a new build but on reboot theres still no partition and still the error

    How and what are you trying to install ?

    Windows 7 with a usb stick ?

    No dvd drive ?

    im installing win 7 via usb, just re creating partition at minute then gonna try via dvd

    You shouldn`t have any issues with a dvd.

    Hi guys,

    I faced this issue, went through all what was said in forums, played with the BIOS options, created the partition with the command prompt...
    I found the solution in a Youtube video.
    The issue is related to the USB installation indeed. I used another stick and it worked like a charm.

    Hope it will help some not wasting as much time as I did...
