    Page File

A computer I'm working on only has 1GB of DDR RAM. Would increasing the size of the page file help speed it up any? I would put more RAM in except that the computer is really old and not worth it putting money into.

This computer is old and is just one for me to mess around with.

    Thanks for any suggestions! :)

    Specs:
    AMD Athlon 3200+ XP
    1GB of DDR RAM
    Windows 7 x86
    200 or 300GB Hard Drive

It is highly unlikely that altering the size of your paging file allocation will do anything for system performance.
Set it to 1GB if you'd like. If you have an SSD to put the page file on then you might notice a difference in performance, but otherwise, no.

OK, thanks. I was just curious if it would speed anything up.
