As stated directly above you should be able to get into the recovery environment to do a factory restore, watch the screen during POST to see what key to push to start the process. You may have to reboot a few times as it will flash quickly. It could, should be the key mentioned above.

    Update:

I found a Windows xp service pack 2 disk and tried installing that. The computer said the initial installation process was successful and to stand by while the computer reboots. The computer rebooted and immediately says: "error loading operating system"

Ok, start from scratch. Set the bios to defaults, ( ask if you don`t know how ) while you are there see if the hard drive is showing up in the bios. It should be at master channel 1.

I am currently in the process of cleaning the HDD once again.

It should be almost done. Once its cleaned, should i create a partition?

I will reset all bios settings to default and let you know if the drive shows up (my guess is yes)

Follow these steps to get a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

If it fails post back at exactly which step in Clean Install Windows 7
    and the verbatim error message.

Wiping the HD is the single most important troubleshooting step for install failure once you confirm the ISO and DVD burn or flash stick write is good. Creating a partition in advance is only useful to mark it Active which in some cases makes it detected easier by installer.

I would download and make this Partition Wizard Boot CD to do all your partitioning b4 you install the OS.

    1) Download the iso from here: Partition Wizard Bootable CD allows user to manage partition directly with partition manager bootable CD.

    2) Burn it to a cd using Imgburn: http://download.cnet.com/ImgBurn/300...-12490476.html

    3) Drop it in the tray and restart the pc.

    4) Boot from the cd

    5) Create your partitions with it.

There are videos at the site on how to use it. It is a great tool.

After that install windows on the partition you created for it.

Also, read Greg`s tutorials, they are flawless.
