Absolutely. You aren't spending much time on it, and Windows 7 needs so little tweaking done, that should only take a few minutes as well. The benefits FAR outweight the negatives.

Installing Win 7 cleanly is fast, but getting all your stuff back to how you had them before the update can take weeks.

I'd recommend going the upgrade route. I did it from Vista -> Win 7 RC on 3 different machines so far and have had no issues whatsoever. I plan on doing the same when I get the official copy next week.

I'm running the Released To Market Version already, hence I'm a college student who subscribes to MSDNAA.

I've had no problems with the 32bit, other than it rejecting my motherboards over clocking programs. However, the 64bit version is touchy on what the speed of burning.

How to put it... Clean, Fast, Sexy, by far the best since the release of XP, utterly amazing, beautiful and First Time User Install Friendly. As with Server 2008, it uses the live installation method that Ubuntu uses.

Not to sound like a nitpicker, but it is Release to Manufacturer. It won't be on the "market" until October 22.

I plan on using it to "downgrade" my parents' system from Win 7 RC Ultimate to Home Premium RTM.
