BOOTMGR is missing on my SSD

Hi

I have just bought a new laptop and also installed a new 256gb SSD... I have just used Norton Ghost and copied the Windows 7 64 bit OS from the HDD direct to SSD.

I chnaged the proity boot sequence in the BIOS to SSD but get BOOTMGR is missing error...

Ghost doesnt seem to assist you with boot issues just the copying...

thanks

You can replace the C:\ with the letter in which you have installed Windows 7 on.

Step #4 has a note which highlights this exact point.

My guess would be that you forgot to copy the System Partition. Have a look here about the steps - but you can use Ghost in lieu of Macrium. SSD - Install and Transfer the Operating System
