We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.
& made the Startup Repair CD.

Did you make the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disks?

You can order OEM Recovery disks from your OEM manufacturer's website.

Have you given up on repairing the old Win7? DId you boot into System Recovery Options to Mark Win7 Partition Active then run Startup Repair - Run up to 3 Separate Times so you know if it will repair?

Where did you get WIn7 in the first place?

If it came preinstalled on a PC you bought then tell us the make and model. You may be able to run Recovery from its partition on the hard drive, or order Recovery Disks to reinstall.

I gave you the steps to get a Clean reinstall and even provided the installer to use but you didn't even have the decency to reply.

If you have questions you should ask them back as you are wasting time during which you could already be up and running again.

Sorry I've been very busy recently with exams, I'm just about to have another look now.
My laptop is a HP G56 and had win 7 preinstalled, I got it around January 2011.

What first method? I have given you dozens of steps and you reponded to none. Why can't you explain what you are doing and ask questions back in full sentences that are understood?

What are you trying to boot from USB? How was it written?

If trying to access System Recovery Options from installer, then write another official ISO to stick using Steps 1 and 2 in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

Then set HD first device to boot in BIOS setup, trigger stick to boot using one-time BIOS Boot menu key given on first screen, listed under USB, Removable or HD's - you may need to expand listings to see it.

Sorry for not being clear enough with my questions and what's happening, but I've fixed it now, I was wondering though could you direct me to how I can get my wireless connections set up again. The button on my laptop tells me I've put wireless on, but when I click on the little networks icon, no networks appear. Is that driver related or is it something else? Hopefully I've been a bit clearer this time.

You'd be clearer if you told us what you were trying to do. Are you doing a Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7?

If so it says clearly in Step 9 to put your wireless driver on a stick or CD to install it if necessary to get online quickly to get all of your Windows Updates installed, which will include even more drivers under optional Windows Updates.

Sorry again, I reinstalled with a windows .iso image called X17-58997, I couldn't of copied the drivers because I was unable to access windows in any form. I've found the drivers I needed so I'll see if I can close this thread now, thanks again sorry for the inconvenience.

That's why it tells you in Step 9 of the tutorial how to find the drivers on the manufacturer's Support Downloads webpage for your specific model.

And you're a student?

I asked you why you would ask for our help and then ignore a tutorial which assures you'd get a perfect reinstall and keep it that way permanently?
